The Manchief Electric Generating Station is located in Morgan
County, near Brush, Colorado on the Eastern plains of the state.
A diverse and talented staff of Colorado Energy Management plant
operators and maintenance professionals provides operations
and maintenance functions for the plant. The same staff concurrently
provides the same services for the multi-plant, multi-owner
site in nearby Brush, known collectively as the Brush Power
Projects, providing unparalleled "economy of scale" savings
for all plant owners.

Power, LP, the Manchief facility is a 302 MW simple
cycle facility with two Siemens-Westinghouse Model V84.3A1 Gas
Turbines. The facility is automatically dispatched, with daily
start and stop. This plant is equipped with Automatic Generation
Control (AGC) for the power purchaser as a revenue enhancement
for the plant owners.
CEM has provided innovative O&M services since the plant achieved commercial operation in July of 2000.
