Location & Ownership

Malburg Generating Station is located in Vernon, California, approximately ten miles south of downtown Los Angeles. The plant is owned by Bicent Power California, LLC.

Engineering, Development, Construction and Technology

The Plant is an Alstom designed and constructed 2x1 combined cycle with a nominal output of 134 MW. The plant went commercial in 2005.

Innovation

• Malburg Station’s design includes the innovative use of gray water from the adjacent Municipal Water Treatment Facility for cooling tower makeup as a cost saving measure.
